Doula Support: Welcome

The term "Doula" finds its roots in the Greek word, signifying "woman servant."nt".

My passion for all things related to bodywork during pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and the early stages of life has always been fueled by the awe-inspiring strength and miracle of birth. It is with great pride that I extend my services to expecting individuals and families across the Middle Georgia area. My mission is to provide unbiased information and emotional support, fostering a positive impact on gestational parents and families throughout the phases of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.

In my perspective, pregnancy is a remarkable, natural process—a transformative journey for everyone involved. I firmly believe that when you experience respect, support, and care throughout your pregnancy and postpartum period, it leaves an enduring imprint on your life. My commitment is to offer top-notch, reliable support to you and your family, ensuring a seamless transition during this significant period.

Birth Doulas

A birth doula is a professionally trained support person attuned to the needs of families during pregnancy and childbirth. Providing non-judgmental support, guidance, evidence-based education, and practical hands-on assistance during childbirth, including comfort measures, a birth doula acknowledges the profound impact of childbirth on the pregnant person.

Importantly, a birth doula does not provide medical care, clinical tasks such as cervical checks or fetal heart tones, and does not speak on behalf of the client.

Postpartum Doulas

A postpartum doula, on the other hand, is a trained professional catering to the needs of the family in the days, weeks, and months following birth or the arrival of a new baby. Offering non-judgmental support, guidance, evidence-based education, and practical hands-on assistance from immediately after birth through the first year.
